School Tour Program The Long Island Maritime Museum annually hosts thousands of school children on visits organized by their schools. Children come to learn about Long Island, its history, environment and people. Tours typically start at 10:00 am and conclude by 12:30. The Museum grounds are available for picnicking. While over eighty percent of the students who visit the Museum are fourth graders as part of their state and local history curriculum, Museum educators are happy to work with teachers and students on a variety of grade levels. |
