The Halloween Boat Burning began as a simple thank you to the local residences because they had to endure an increase in traffic and more activity as the Museum gained popularity.
|

|
Loosely based on the Viking tradition of a nautical burial, someone donates
an old, neglected wooden boat to become the "burn boat"
for the year. |
|
| |
|
Halloween costumes, hot apple cider, sea chanties, pumpkins, crisp autumn air. the annual boat raffle and
a great, big bonfire... |
|
